There are so many birthday's in July.  Rob's is the 1st, mine is the 10th, Rob's daughter and my cousin is the 13th and Rob's mum is the 28th!  It would be nice to give our friends candles and candle holders each year for birthday and Christmas, but we think they might be getting sick of the same thing each year :-)  Never they say!

Well Party Plans are really starting to kick off as people enjoy the luxury of shopping from the comfort of their home over good food and great company of their friends and family.  We also love getting out there and talking to people and sharing our story and awesome hand made candles and candleholders. Guests really get into the games we play to win prizes and they love the envelope specials we hand out on the day.  If you would like more information or want to book a party plan with us, please click here.

We have now made shopping so much easier for you by accepting EFTPOS and Credit Cards.  We have a cool little mobile machine that travels with us to party plans and candle making classes so people can shop on the spot!  I have always wanted to work in a retail shop and operate one of these machines, and now I can...Yipppeeee!! :-)

Hello!  Time has slipped away from us over the last couple of months and I have been meaning to sit down and up date you on a few things... so I'm here with my cup of tea, candle burning in the background and ready to enlighten you!

Our candle making workshops have taken off and we are having to turn people away for some class bookings due to the demand.  This is fantastic but also disappointing for some.  So we are now running private candle making lessons for up to 2 people during the week on the Mondays.  As a bonus in these lessons, we also make a gorgeous Bulb Lantern valued at $19.95.  Click here for more info on our group candle making classes and private lessons.

Happy Easter!  Rob and I hope you had a fantastic holiday with family and friends.  We both spent most of the holidays in bed recovering from that dreaded stomach bug that has been going around and a cold.  I'm finally starting to shake the cold now.

So what's new?  This month we introduced a new collection of candelabras and candle holders for both purchase and hire.  Hiring is a great option for your Wedding or Special Occasion Function when you need a few for just a day or two. Our Package Deals are fantastic, allowing you to save a heap when you hire our candle holders and purchase our candles too. Facebook has really kicked off this month, we are now almost at 400 fans which is awesome.  We ran our first Silent Candle Auction last week which was a hit.  Fans bidded on our candles and walked away with massive bargains at never to see again prices.  The only bad feedback we got from this was that our Fans are now hooked on our candles after having tried them! Hello,

We have had a fantastic month! 

RedBalloon accepted us as an Experience Provider for our candle making classes which means the demand for these has grown dramatically and we are now on a brilliant website showcasing our classes! We are now running our candle classes every 3 weeks on a Sunday to keep up with the bookings which is great. Our next class is on Sunday, 18th April 2010 so book in quick as places are filling up. Another milestone that we met this month is in reaching 100 Fans on our Facebook page!  To celebrate, we gave away a $20 Gift Voucher to one lucky Fan, Shelley Watkins, as she was the first to write on our wall when we hit 100 Fans. Happy new year!  Now I know why they call it the silly season!  It feels like ages since I last blogged so I am relieved to have a few minutes spare to download everything in my head! We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year with your family and friends.

We officially launched our website last month and it looks fantastic!  We hope you find it user friendly and appealing to look at as well.

Christmas is just around the corner and we have slashed the prices on ALL of our Christmas candle range.  You will love our gorgeous Christmas range, they will add character to any room or table this Christmas.

We ran our first candle making class on 22 November and it was a huge success.  All 6 participants had an awesome time and left with more than what they made!  Each took home about 10 votive candles each, 10 melts, a large soy candle in a glass melting pot, a small travel tin with soy wax, a large palm wax candle in crystal effect, about 7 or so floating candles and 2 novelty candles each. As this was our Christmas class, we had a great selection of Christmas moulds to choose from such as Christmas tree, Santa Clause, angel with a candle, angel with a violin, a cherub, and much more! Our next candle making class will be held on 24 January 2010, just in time for Valentine's Day. So if you would like to join us and made that perfect candle gift for your mum or loved one for Valentine's Day give us a call and book today!

It has been a busy month with home parties and everything candles!  We did a home party a couple of weeks ago for a friend as she wanted an excuse for getting together with some friends before Christmas.  She was not expecting people to buy any candles but was absolutely amazed at the sales made on the night, not to mention the fantastic free products she received because of the sales.  She invited about 15 people along and 7 people placed an order for our candles with an average spend of $70 each.  this meant she qualified for $45 worth of free candle products, plus she received a thank you host candle gift pack.  Each guest also left with a small thank you gift of Christmas oil burner melts and many left with prizes from winning the games and lucky door prize.  Much fun was had by all.  Candle parties are a ball of fun and a great incentive to catch up with friends and earn fantastic rewards at the same time!  If you are interested in holding a cande home party, please let us know.
